Ecclesial poles: historical limitations and agapic excess

Main Article Content

Abstract

The article addresses the nature of the Church as a "complex reality," defined by the polar dialectic between its historical limitations and its agapic abundance. The Church is simultaneously "earthly and heavenly," "visible and spiritual." Its historicity is messianic in nature, representing a secularity that should not be confused with secularization or worldliness. The Church transcends worldliness by living in and for the world (proexistential availability), transcending even God's own transcendence to become embedded in human history. This condition translates into a "paradoxical citizenship," transforming society through Trinitarian agape and ecclesial synergy.
