Flesh, Time and Works in the canons of Nicaea I. A Reading in the Light of the Sacramental Principle

Abstract
The Council of Nicaea promulgated 20 canons, which are little known. These disciplinary measures, adopted in a synodal way, safeguard dogmatic themes that deserve to be identified. This article attempts to interpret them in the light of the sacramental principle, which highlights the importance of flesh, time, and works. This perspective not only brings us closer to the self-understanding of the early Church, but also offers us clues for reflection and action in the face of contemporary challenges.
